He’s surprised when he came in the next morning to find Renji there. However his surprise quickly morphed into a frown, which then turned to a scowl. How dare he rest his head on his desk? Did this look like a bed room?
As a cold glare settled on his face, Byakuya quickly retrieved a set of heavy books which were then released, crashing on the desk in front of his sleeping lieutenant. This was certainly not the way he wished to start off his work day.
"Wake up Renji." Not a trace of warmth was in his town as he stood before Renji’s desk. "You have until the count of three to wake up and make yourself presentable for work."
Jumping at the loud noise, Renji stared wide eyed up at his captain. What the hell was his problem? There was no reason to wake him up like that. He had barely slept twenty minutes and he was acting like he had been there all day. His head was foggy from exhaustion, but he forced himself to stay awake, for fear of recurring the wrath of the man in front of him. Course, if he did try anything, Renji wouldn’t hold back, his mood wasn’t the best right then, in fact, he felt like he was going to explode any second.
His wide eyed stare quickly turned into a glare as he scowled at the dark haired man, “Screw you, there was no damn reason for that. Works done anyway, so what the hell does it matter if I’m sleeping? I didn’t have the luxury of going home last night to sleep like you did.” He growled, “Take the damn work and put it away yourself, I’m not sticking around any longer. I’ve done more than my fair share for a while.” He stood and shoved the papers against his chest, not caring if he grabbed a hold of them or not, and headed for the door. Some of the papers fell to the ground, but he wasn’t going to turn back and pick them up. That snooty, tuck up noble could do it. If he didn’t have enough common decency to even wake him up kindly after knowing what a rough couple weeks he’s had doing all of his work for him, then he could bend his ass over and pick those papers up. Renji was in no mood to deal with him and his pushy, selfish behavior. Exhaustion heavily weighed on him and he still hadn’t eaten a single thing, it wasn’t a good combination, he needed to leave before he blew and did something stupid.
"It’s hard to be scared of something so non-existent."
"It won’t hurt ya…much…So ya really don’t have ta be afraid of it. It’ll treat ya real good."
xrenjixabaraix replied to your post: “xrenjixabaraix replied to your post:”Renji’s a pansy pass it…”:"Is that envy I hear?"
"You shouldn’t project your emotions on to me, Renji. However if it allows you to cope with your inadequacy then I suppose I shall permit it."
"I’m perfectly equipped and you know it. Think that’s why ya won’t let me have ya yet. You’re scared of what it can do."
His eyes widen in surprise, “Hey! What the hell are you doing?!” he glared.
Crystal had a small smile after that, and ran a hand through her own hair. “I’m just a simple woman who tells the truth when the topic is brought up.” She said, looking at him more, and responded again. “I just felt like messing with someone, and you just happened to be the first I saw.”
"That’s it? And here you were making me feel all special when anyone would have done. I think I feel a little used." he sighed dramatically, acting like it really bothered him.
The noble looked up from his work. “A puppy?” He echoed quietly. “Erm, why would we need one?”
"Alright," Byakuya replied. "Well, I was thinking of Soba with Sesame seed sauce tonight..Is that all right?" He expected the reaction he got from the redhead but brushed it off. A lot of people didn’t know he could cook and that he actually hated to be too dependent on the servants.
“Yeah, that sounds fine.” Anything made by Byakuya though, even something spicy, which he hated, would be amazing. How many people, he wondered, could honestly say they ate something that Byakuya himself cooked for them? He went into the kitchen with him, he wanted to watch him cook, he had learned something new about him, and wanted to watch him in action.
His eyes widen in surprise, “Hey! What the hell are you doing?!” he glared.
"Hmmm, if I do that, then I won’t be able to control myself when you have to work again." She finished fixing his hair, went back to face him, and then loosely crossed her arms over her stomach as she looked at him. "I just like men with long hair, gets me going depending on my mood." Crystal said shrugging some.
Snorting, he shook his head, “Someone’s gotten bold with what they say.” She was just stroking his ego. That was all it could have been. “did you come by for a reason, or was that it?”

"He was unconscious when I found him." Mana quickly spoke to the redhead.
"He respects you, though I think he tends to show it in a different way than most others." Her eyes closed, mentally rolling at the statement. Her leader was always like that and Renji was just as aware of it. Byakuya clearly showed his feelings through other ways than a normal expression. She new one way was his eyes. His eyes always seemed to mirror his inner emotions even as he kept his fact carefully neutral. "But trust me," she said, turning again to look at him. "You make the most changes and will continue to make more, it will just take time."
“I feel honored, I guess, that he respects me that much. Still don’t get why.” It made him proud as well in a way that someone like Byakuya, his stern and rough asshole of a captain, valued him so greatly, so much so that he began changing, even if just a little, because of him.
“Thanks for saying that.” Knowing that made him feel a little less bitter towards the dark haired man, maybe things between them really were improving in some way.
Ohohohohoho, how interesting to see the bankai user again. He would have thought that with all that had happened he would have known to steer clear of Hueco Mundo, or did the Shinigami truly think he was dead and gone. A hand went to the bridge of his glasses, pushing them upward slightly. True they were the fragments of his Hollow Mask, but unlike most other’s Hollow fragments his were able to move and be adjusted.
“Shinigami, I didn’t think you’d ever be so foolish to step in this part of Los Noches ever again. I wonder, did you lose your way? Or is it simply my good luck once again? Perhaps this time we can try something new. A fight seems so boorish. Won’t you just agree to be my test subject?’
A wicked grin appeared on the Octava’s face, sadistic and cruel as he thought of ways to experiment on the red haired Shinigami who had the misfortune of wandering back into his layer.
Of all the people he had to run in to there, it had to be that pink haired psycho. They hadn’t even been in each other’s company for a full minute before he started spouting a bunch of crazy nonsense. While he agreed on the no fighting, he also wasn’t going to agree to be his test subject. That was something that would never happen, at least not willingly.
“There’s no way in hell I’m gonna do that. How bout I just leave and we forget I was ever here? That’ll be the best thing for both of us, you don’t have to fight, and I won’t have to waste my time kicking your ass.” He backed away, trying to hurry out. He didn’t want to cross that man, he hadn’t come looking for trouble. Then again, he didn’t really know why he came in the first place. It had been a spur of the moment thing driven by his stupidity.
"Get your head off me. If you are ill go home, otherwise suck it up and work."
"I finished work, take care of me like a good little wife. I’m your husband it’s your duty to." he kept his head there and wrapped his arms around him.
